Dan Gable is widely regarded as one of the greatest wrestling coaches of all time. As head coach at the University of Iowa, he built a powerhouse program that won 15 NCAA Division I national championships between 1976 and 1997. He also competed as an Olympic wrestler, winning a gold medal in 1972, and later coached the U.S. Olympic team to gold in 1984.
