Demis Hassabis is a British neuroscientist, cognitive scientist, and entrepreneur best known for co-founding DeepMind, which developed AlphaGo—the AI system that defeated world champion Lee Sedol at Go. His work bridges neuroscience and artificial intelligence, exploring how the brain learns and creates. DeepMind was acquired by Google in 2014 and has become a leading AI research laboratory.
