Doris Kearns Goodwin is a Pulitzer Prize–winning author and historian specializing in American presidential history and biography. Her masterwork "Team of Rivals" about Abraham Lincoln's cabinet won the Pulitzer Prize for History and established her as one of America's foremost historians. She is also known for her work on other presidents and her ability to make complex historical narratives accessible to general readers.
